We are looking forward to welcoming you to our meeting at Mears, Shropshire Home Services Unit 3, Hartley Business Centre Monkmoor Road Shrewsbury SY2 5ST  10.30 am for 11 am start. Finish by 1 pm.


We are looking forward to welcoming our Guest Speakers:

Captain Nic Beighton-Double Amputee a result of working in Afghanistan-Come along and hear how Nic has turned his life around. He came 4th in the rowing at the Paralympics London 2012.


Then we have Young Sportsman of the Year 2012-Energise Awards -local lad Ben Rowlings Wheelchair Racer from Newport, Shropshire. What a future he has and you won’t want to miss his message.


Last we haveTony Lawrence. Fully qualified Tai Chi Instructor who teaches Tai Chi for Arthritis Sufferers which can also be done seated which is ideal for people with mobility problems.

We hope to have another record attendance to welcome our guest speakers. You can help by supporting us today 

To help finance our meeting we will have our usual quarterly raffle but it will be a Special Christmas Raffle with a Hamper, Christmas Cake, Christmas Pudding & more prizes. Just £1 per strip of tickets! Prizes are always welcome.

We also have space available for 2 Information Stands at each of our meetings. We charge a small fee of £25 which includes a non-returnable deposit of £5. Not only will you be able to promote your organisation & what it does to help people with a disability, their carers and families but you will also have the opportunity to address our members with a 5 minute talk. If you wish to have a stand but without the 5 minute talk then the cost is £15 including your £5 deposit. To take up this opportunity please email our Fundraising lead rbyhartshorn@gmail.com

    Thank you Pauline for your comments. Very pleased you like the new website. We are pleased you have left us a comment & SDN would like more people to do this.
    2014 is going to be an exciting year for us as not only are we venturing to pastures new, we also have some excellent speakers lined up. Keep looking and watching as announcements are to be made soon.
