The Wellbeing Independence Partnership is the first point of contact for enquiries relating to adult social care in Telford and Wrekin.

Wellbeing Independence Partnership is an information and advice service for adults with care and support needs who are not known to statutory services.

The Wellbeing Independence Partnership (WIP) is a council commissioned service comprising of a group of agencies who work together to deliver advice, information and guidance to residents of Telford and Wrekin. The partnership brings together the Telford and Wrekin CVS, Carers Centre, Age UK and Taking Part.

The Wellbeing Independence Partnership is the first point of contact for enquiries relating to adult social care in Telford and Wrekin (when you are not known to statutory services). Our friendly and knowledgeable staff provide information, advice and guidance for the general public about health and social care. WIP work with people to identify their strengths and help them to stay independent for longer with access to community-based solutions.

The Wellbeing Independence Partnership provide whole family services for people, their families and family carers and we work alongside adult social care ensuring that people get the right help, at the right time, from the right service. This service support our clients to tell their story once.

Wellbeing Independence Partnership are able to provide outreach across the borough via a range of solutions such as:

  • · Wellbeing peer support groups
  • · Community marketplace events
  • · Booked appointments

The aim to provide preventative services to support people in the early stages and avoid the need for emergency assistance.

The team will make referrals to other services where necessary. .
