The Lyneal Trust offers canal boat and cottage holidays in beautiful Shropshire for people with disabilities, illness or injury, or any other vulnerability and their family, friends and carers who may accompany them.
The Llangollen Canal weaves backwards and forwards across the Shropshire and Cheshire borders and into Clwyd and on its way passes through some of the finest scenery in the country. Three miles from Ellesmere and at the heart of the Meres district of North Shropshire, lies Lyneal Wharf, the ideal base for the start of your perfect holiday.
The Lyneal Trust can offer day trips, or full week holidays to accommodate most requirements for those important breaks. The two canal boats, as well as the cottages, are well suited to cater for the disabled or elderly, as well as their carers, to provide a lovely holiday or day out in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.
In 2017 we added the Shropshire Lady to our fleet. Shropshire Lady is a brand new, specially built 60 foot narrow boat designed for day trips that will accommodate up to 12 people including two wheelchair users. A day’s cruise on board Shropshire Lady, with a trained crew provided by the Trust costs just £120.”
The Shropshire Lass II is a purposed designed 70 foot holiday canal boat with accommodation for up to 8 people and finished to a high standard.

Lyneal Wharf cottage and chalets, offers accommodation for up to 14 people.
