The objectives of The Telephones for the Blind Fund are the relief of the blind by

1   providing telephones for the benefit of the blind residents and

2   raising funds for the above purposes.

The policy of the Committee of Trustees is to make a contribution towards quarterly telephone rental costs and where a new telephone line installation is required; the Committee currently pays 100% of the cost. Applications for grants have to be submitted by a Social Worker.

Note Telephones for the Blind Fund have suspended giving grants while they consider the best way forward, This is due to technology changes. They are temporarily stopping our landline offer whilst we examine what we should be doing now. This does not change the service we are currently supplying to nearly 300 people across the country.

Please Note, only Support Worker, Social Worker or Rehabilitation Worker may apply for a grant on behalf of someone who is registered blind or visually impaired and meet the criteria as stated on our website.
