Peter Newton had a heart attack in 2001 followed by surgery. After that he found the gym to be too demanding and looked for something else, something he could practice daily at home that required no equipment or special clothing, and he found it.
This style of Taiji is very simple and easy to learn and can be practised in a very small space either standing or seated, making it ideal for the disabled.
