Shrewsbury Health and Wellbeing Hub – How You Can Have Your Say!

NHS Shropshire Telford and Wrekin are keen to offer as many opportunities as possible to hear views about the Shrewsbury Health and Wellbeing Hub.

From 16 January to 31 March 2023, a further round of engagement will take place for the proposal which will focus on groups we have so far heard less from.

These include:

  • Youth (16-24)
  • Elderly and in particular those 80+
  • Males
  • LGBT+
  • Ethnic minority groups
  • Disability groups
  • Expectant and new parents.

To support this, we will be holding online and face-to-face focus groups, as well as attending numerous community meetings across the town.

Our approach will be flexible and will work to suit what is best for those groups of people we would like to hear from. As such, we will be happy to discuss how best to hear views by attending any community group meetings or activities that are already planned.

All feedback provided will be reported on and will feed into the work of the Programme Team responsible for developing the proposal.

If you would like to get involved, please let us know and we will plan our approach around your needs. Contact Sara Buckley at stw.getinvolved@nhs.net to start the conversation or to find out more information.

Further details about the Shrewsbury Health and Wellbeing Hub can be found on the NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin website.

Review of Musculoskeletal (MSK) Services

Start Date:
4th January 2017

End Date:
20th January 2017

Start Time:
00.01

End Time:
23.59

NHS Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) want to know about your experience of using musculoskeletal (MSK) services. This review is open from Wednesday 4th January 2017 & closes on Friday 20th January 2017.

NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG is the name for the local General practitioner led organisation that purchases Healthcare on behlaf of the population of Telford & Wrekin.

MSK services support adults with over 200 different conditions & injuries affecting joints, muscles, soft tissue injuries and bones and covers individual services like Rheumatology, Orthopaedics,  Chronic Pain & physiotherapy.

In October 2015 Telford and Wrekin CCG implemented a new service model for people with MSK conditions. The model is community based and delivers a triage, assessment and treatment service for all MSK conditions.  The change was put in place to deliver more care away from hospital settings where appropriate.  Telford Musculoskeletal Service (TeMS) is the organisation commissioned to deliver the service on our behalf.  As the service has been in place for twelve months the CCG is collecting patient feedback as part of a standard service review.  The results of this feedback will not automatically be used to make changes to the service.  However if the feedback received indicated changes were required, a consultation period would apply to any adjustments being carried out.

Please give us your feedback by Friday 20th January 2017 by clicking on the link below to complete the survey:-
