Event description: If you haven’t already been along to a Community Connectors’ meeting, they are well worth an hour of your time. It’s a chance for people working in your local community to meet (online for now) and share news, updates and ideas. Each local community has its own meeting and you can go along to as many as you like.

New pick up points set-up for free Covid test kits-Shropshire

Everyone across Shropshire will now be able to pick up free lateral flow Covid-19 home testing kits from sites across the county. 

The new collection points for the lateral flow tests will be available at libraries and leisure centres across the Shropshire from Monday 12th April.

Shropshire Council are also encouraging anyone who collects a home testing kit to complete a test on site to gain an understanding of what you need to do.

 Pharmacies –Several Shropshire pharmacies also offering in person testing, as well as collection. Several Tests can be booked online using  www.1centralhealth.co.uk/shropshirelft  

The lateral flow kits can provide results in around 30 minutes. 

If you are unable to collect testing kit in person, you canorder them for home delivery.  

Adults over 18 years of age can pick up a maximum of two kits each per visit for their own use. 

Instructions on how to use the tests and record results are included with the kits. 

People with symptoms of COVID-19 should NOT take a rapid test. Instead, please stay at home and book a PCR test onlineor by calling 119.      

Anyone who tests positive with an LFD at home must self-isolate immediately and arrange to have a further PCR test.  To book a test visitgov.uk/get-coronavirus-testor call 119.

Polling Districts, Polling Places. Polling Stations Review-Shropshire 2019

Shropshire Council is due to undertake a Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places in accordance with the Representation of the People Act 1983 (as amended by the Electoral Administration Act 2006) and carry out a review of the voting arrangements in our area by 31st January 2020.

Stakeholders, partners and other interested parties are being asked to comment on polling districts, polling places and polling stations within Shropshire’s parliamentary constituencies.  They have asked Shropshire Disability Network to promote and contribute to the review
