Event description: Hearing loss charity Signal is putting on a Sign Language taster session in Shrewsbury.
Our tutor is fully qualified and has taught courses up to British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3. She is profoundly deaf herself, and from the start of the session she makes it a fun and enjoyable experience for all.
Sign Language is a lively, visual language, with hand movements, posture and even facial expressions conveying meaning.
The taster session is for everybody, from people who are interested in using sign language professionally, to people with deaf family members or friends who use sign language, to people who simply enjoy learning new languages.
Places are limited, so please book in advance by contacting Signal. There will be a charge of £6.00 per person for the two-hour session to cover costs. Refreshments will be available to purchase.
