Sight Loss Opportunity Groups in August

All sessions are free unless otherwise stated

Ludlow – Monday 10th August at St Peters Church from 10.30-12.30

Rob Swift from Swifts bakery will be with us for a breadmaking workshop. The cost for this will be £2 per person and you’ll be able to take your creation home with you for lunch!

 Shrewsbury Cycling – Wednesday 19th August at Sundorne Sports Village

Please note the new time of 10.30-11.30am for this!

 Shrewsbury – Monday 24th August at Peng Wern Boat Club, Shrewsbury from 1.30-4pm

Please note that the earlier start time and venue for our planned sculling trip! If you wish to come along please let Rachel know. The cost for this will be minimum £2 donation so that the volunteers from the boat club can have their expenses paid for helping out.

Phone Trial

Pauline Rose has some new software that has been developed for Android phones to make them more accessible to people for people with visual impairment (magnification, different colours etc).  The developers are looking for people to provide feedback on the new software. Severn Trent Water

Severn Trent are working in partnership with various organisations within their area to support mutual clients, and promote schemes and tariffs which may help them reduce their outgoings and keep on top of their bills.  Severn Trent can provide information on keeping water charges down and raise awareness of schemes and tariffs that are available to those who may be struggling financially.  They can also provide bills in alternative formats, such as braille or audio.  If you would like more information regarding this please contact Rachel.
