Event description: The Rainbow Festival is back & takes place in Shrewsbury on between 14th & 16th October 2016.

  • Friday 14th October 8 pm at Old Market Hall Cinema there will be a screening of “Blackbird”.
  • Saturday 15th October at 1.30 pm at Old Market Hall Cinema there will be a screening of “Women like Us/Women like that” plus discussion with director!

This will be followed by:

  • “Real Boy” at 4.30 pm. Joe Stevens, American singer-songwriter will be flying in from California to speak at this years festival. Real Boy, is a film about a boy called Ben coming of age. Ben is a transgender teenager on a journey to find his voice, with extracts from home movies & interviews. It also follows the journey Ben’s mother makesAfter the screening, there will be a question & answer session with Joe. Joe so far has released six albums & produced albums for other aspiring teenagers.
  • “Summertime” will be shown at 8 pm. (With Subtitles)

On Sunday 16th October at 1.30 pm again at the Old Market Hall Cinema you can see:

  • “Desert Hearts” at 1.30 pm
  • “Aligarth” at 3.30 pm (With Subtitles) & 
  • “Gerontophila” at 6.30 pm
