Event description: Each quarter we hold meetings that are open to all members, guests are also welcome but are not allowed to vote on decisions. We aim to bring you inspiring speakers & hope we provide a varied programme. This quarter we have two guest speakers:

  • Matt JohnsonArea Transport Planning Commissioner (North) who is an expert on concessionary travel etc. Matt will be bringing a colleague along who works in parking, so if you have an issue around parking let us know but most importantly come along listen to what they say & ask the question. This is an opportunity for us to ask & find out the answers to our burning questions.
  • Michael McCarthy our second guest speaker will be talking about his life and the books he has written. Michael a 38-year-old north Shropshire man who suffered life changing injuries as a child published his book “Two Tales of Two Dogs”, which is set at Hawkstone Park and Follies, where he is a member of the golf club.Michaels ambition is to become as famous as Roald Dahl. Michael will also tell us about his life since his accident which includes climbing Mount Kenya, running a marathon and riding coast-to-coast on a tandem bike!

Rather shy, not know what to expect, then bring a friend along-everyone welcome.

For organisations who want to book a stand (for a small charge) please visit the “About Us” tab on this website where you will find information about all our meetings as well as travel directions to this venue.

We have a quarterly raffle with really good prizes-just £1 a strip gives you a chance to win & helps us to meet meeting costs etc.

Tea/Coffee/Cakes & biscuits from 10.30 am to 11 am and later in the meeting.

We have Sign Language Interpreters (BSL) at all our meetings.
