This is your opportunity to meet other members as well as the Management Committee Members. You will have an opportunity to network, hear about our work of the last 3 months and much more. Come along and find out -a warm welcome awaits as tea/coffee/biscuits are available for 10.30 am for our meeting starting at 11 am.

Guest Speakers at this meeting will be:

Mark Allan-Technical Director from Orthoplastics Limited will do a presentation on the work they do. Mark originated from Shrewsbury but now lives & works in Lancashire.
Orthoplastics is one of only 3 places in the UK that make artificial joints. Have you had a hip, knee, toe, shoulder replacement.? Have you ever thought where or how that joint is made? Come along and find our more on How, Where by whom, was that artificial joint made?

We also welcome Jo Allmond, mother of Jess who have written a book called “Jess the Goth Fairy” which is based on Jess’s childhood drawings. The book highlights how people with a disability can achieve great things when given the right support. Jess has learning & physical disabilities, but lives independently, with support. Jess includes friends in the story & did this by choosing creatures for her friends (All gave their permission) Jess uses her story to highlight it is OK to be different & it is OK to have a disability.

Please come along and make our speakers welcome.

Penny Rice from Oswestry Equality Group will also have a table with leaflets promoting the work they do in Oswestry & surrounding areas.

For organisations who want to book a stand (for a small charge) please visit the “About Us” tab on this website where you will find information about all our meetings as well as travel directions to this venue.

We have a quarterly raffle with really good prizes-just £1 a strip gives you a chance to win & helps us to meet meeting costs etc.

Tea/Coffee/Cakes & biscuits from 10.30 am to 11 am and later in the meeting.

We have Sign Language Interpreters (BSL) at all our meetings.

Let’s start 2015 with a full house at Oswestry.
