Event title: Shropshire Disability Network Fundraising Sub Group Meets-Postponed
Venue: Coffee Shop at Salop Caravan & Leisure Centre, Emstrey, Atcham SY5 6QS
Name: Ruby -Fundraising Lead
Event description: This committee meets Bi-Monthly and is made up mainly of SDN Member/Volunteers with a couple of people from the Management Committee..
The time and venue will be updated soon. We like to meet in a public venue as this promotes our work
Throughout this year we will be telling you about how money has been raised by us & how it has been/is being used. We will tell you this in a number of ways ie this website, Your Voice Newsletter as well as at meetings.
Last year we had a refresh of our website, making it much cleaner, modern & easier to use. What we have now is an asset giving us much more potential as we move SDN forward.
SDN has two prime tools-This Website and Your Voice our monthly newsletter. This newsletter is very important as it means we can engage with those who for whatever reason have no IT access or can not use a computer due to their disability. It is also a great promotional tool. Both these need financing as do our quarterly meetings (guests welcome) and we also need to run our laser printer, buy stationery as well as print promotional leaflets and more.
Please look out for details on this website, in the press, various publications via the local radio stations as well as Social Media for fundraisers that you can support to help us bring you information that is important to such an organisation as this. Much of our work is signposting so it is important we bring you relevant, up to date & timely information.
SDN can not do this without a good Fundraising Sub Group and your support.Thanking all our supporters, funders and those who support at our events by proving help on the day, raffle prizes, donations of goods etc to sell. Thank you to those who serve on this Committee.
We are always looking for new members to this committee who will take an active role in this very important of work of SDN.
If you feel you have something to offer, Ruby is happy to talk with you. Many thanks.
