Event description: We will have two speakers:
- Wendy Southall, Commissioning and Redesign Lead, Shropshire CCG will give us an update on AQP from 2016, a subject very important to all of us. This will include information for patients of Specsavers & other former providers who will continue to receive a service from them until their contract expires. We hope that Di Beasley, Commissioner for Telford and Wrekin CCG will also be able to attend.
- Paul Coope of Signal will demonstrate some of the equipment on sale at their Hub in Shrewsbury.
It is also time for our Annual General Meeting; As in previous years, we will keep the formal business (always a turn-off for meetings) to an absolute minimum. However, this year will see something of a general post since our constitution requires the office holders to resign their present offices after five years in post, and it is now five years since we adopted our constitution. We could also do, as always, with some more committee members; we would be particularly pleased to see representatives of the Deaf Clubs and Hard of Hearing Clubs. We really would appreciate your help. The committee normally meets about once every six weeks and offers a real opportunity to contribute to the welfare of Deaf and hearing-impaired people throughout Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.
