Event description: Shropshire Deaf and Hard of Hearing Forum You are invited to our next Forum on Tuesday, 13 February, 2013 at 2.00 pm at Trinity Hall, Church Road, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, SY3 9HF Ample Free Car Parking Sign Language Interpreter (By courtesy of VISS and Shropshire Council) Hearing Loop Hearing Dogs May Be Present Programme Robin Ash, Empowerment and Campaigns officer for the British Deaf Association, will be talking to us about their work. BDA campaigns, on behalf of its members, to ensure an equal place in society for Deaf people and protects and promotes British Sign Language. Our old friend Darren McHale, consultant audiologist and head of our NHS audiology service will give us a final talk on the Any Qualified Provider service, which is now operational in both Shrewsbury and Telford and Wrekin. Finally, Vicky Sadler, Hearing Therapist and Deputy Head of the audiology service, will talk to us about some interesting new developments in research into hearing loss and in hearing therapy. Our next meeting after that will be the June Forum (and AGM) in Telford; details to follow shortly.
