Event description: Shrewsbury Library last month launched a new book group for adults, especially catering those people living with long-term health conditions (If you have carer(s) they are welcome to accompany you).
The next session is being held on Monday 17th December at 14:00. The book we are reading is A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen and can be collected from Shrewsbury Library. There is no need for potential members to have a library card themselves and we do have a couple of Quick Read editions and one DVD left.
Key points of the group are:
- – Group is an hour-long but split between a half hour ‘coffee and chat’ (refreshments provided) and half hour book discussion. This is to cater to those who may struggle with concentration and to encourage a relaxed group.
- – Where possible, books will be provided in several formats (quick reads, DVD’s etc).
- – Run by someone living with chronic illness.
- – Recommendations can be made for future books.
