From support by Severnside Housing, we now have SDN wrist bands to promote our work. We are grateful to funding received from Severnside Housing who have granted us money via their Severnside’s Community Chest Fund. We applied for funding to assist us in purchasing promotional items to publicise and promote the vital work we do. Following consultation with the Community Chest Fund panel, which is made up of Severnside customers and staff, our request was unanimously approved.
Ruby Hartshorn, Chairperson of the Shropshire Disability Network about the successful application “Shropshire Disability Network (SDN) was formed in 2008 to provide a powerful collective voice for disabled people across Shropshire. The grant received from Severnside will enable us to promote the services we offer and help us reach out to people who really need our help.”
Severnside Community Chest Funding applications are invited from any voluntary, community and recreational group working in the Shropshire area whose work will directly benefit Severnside’s residents/communities”.
Paul Forsythe, Chair of Severnside’s Community Chest Fund said “The request for grant funding from the Shropshire Disability Network (SDN) received unanimous support from our Community Chest Fund panel. We know that a number of our customers access the excellent support and advice offered by SDN and hope that the grant funding will help them support more people across our communities.”
