Shropshire’s See and Hear Exhibition will again be hosting a fantastic range of events and activities for people with sight and hearing loss at Shrewsbury Sports Village this Wednesday 16 May 2018.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is ‘Inspiration’ and will be opened by John Churcher and his guide dog, Daisy. John was the first deafblind person to climb The Eiger.
See and Hear 2018 exhibition will include:
- Over 70 exhibitors offering information and advice, and demonstrations of the latest technology
- Boccia tournament – hosted by Shropshire Disability Network, with the awards presented by National Gold Medallist Specialist Olympian Jessica Hiles
Pauline Rose, manager for Vision Technology and Training Shropshire and organiser of the See and Hear event said:-
“It’s amazing to see how our See and Hear event has gone from strength to strength.
“We hope plenty of people take the opportunity to come along, as it really is a great opportunity to see the support and information that’s available. There is no need for people to book – just come along any time between 10am and 4pm, unless you wish to attend a seminar, for which you do need to book.”
Shrewsbury Sports Village, in Sundorne Road, Shrewsbury, is fully accessible, with a free car park. A free shuttle bus will run from Shrewsbury train station every 30 minutes starting at 9.30am.
