RADAR was a national network of disability organisations and disabled people. They represented members by fast-tracking opinions and concerns to policy-makers and legislators in Westminster and Whitehall, and launching campaigns to promote equality for all disabled people.
Formed in 1977 as the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, RADAR was a national organisation run by and working for disabled people. They had a membership of over 800 disability organisations and individuals.
Our vision was a just and equal society whose strength is human difference. Our mission is to enable individuals, networks and policy-makers to do things differently.
