Event description: Three public events have been organised to allow Shropshire people to find out more about proposals to relocate the county’s NHS Walk-In Centre. Other meetings are being held on 4th August at Wem & Church Stretton on 6th August (details under the “events tab” on this website)

It will also give you a chance to have your say ahead of a final decision on the future of walk-in care in Shropshire, which will be taken by the CCG later in the year.

The proposals do not include the GP practice that is based at Monkmoor – this will remain in the same location and will continue to provide GP care for its registered patients.

Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), working with The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust and the Shropshire Walk-In Centre, is looking at the possibility of moving the walk-in element of care from Monkmoor in Shrewsbury so that it is co-located with the Accident & Emergency department on the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) site.

NHS England, the organisation responsible for GP services, will be at this Monkmoor meeting to address any specific questions people have about the GP surgery.

Anyone not able to go to one of the meetings can still give their view by filling out a questionnaire on the CCG website www.shropshireccg.nhs.uk and can also let the CCG know their views by emailing ccg@shropshireccg.nhs.uk
