Event description: We are having our Information Stands at Morrisons, Shrewsbury twice during August 2013. We really appreciate the support given to us by the Management and staff at the store for allowing this. While this is partially about raising money to fund our ongoing work of providing a website, newsletter (cost £140 per month) , promotion and outreach of SDN (leaflets), run a laser printer, pay insurance (£350 approx) and the list goes on and on, it is also about making people aware of Shropshire Disability Network. We will have a selection of leaflets available and you will have opportunity to talk to us.We need and want to engage with our membership, spread the word about SDN to others who may benefit from knowing about us. We also need volunteers to help us man the stand throughout the day. If you feel you can help us, please call Ruby or email our enquiry@shropshire-disability.net email address. No one will be left to be at the stand alone . A rota needs to be produced in advance so please contact us as soon as you can if you can spare an hour or two it would help us. Many thanks. Thank you to Morrison’s Supermarket, Shrewsbury for all their support in letting us have collections at their store. Thank you to all the shoppers who helped us raise £231.74 for our funds which will help us continue our work. Very soon we will be putting a statement on this website saying how this money could be used, giving you an idea of how you have helped. Both on the 19th & 20th November, once again you helped us to raise awareness of Shropshire Disability Network so thank you to you all from the Management Committee. Special thanks to Philip Kent, Hilary Fisher, Alan Townsend and June Jones for collecting on the day. Also thanks to SDN Volunteers Sandra Lea-Weston & Eirlys Evans for their support in helping this all happen.
