Event description: 1 hour sessions are being held on the following dates at Manchester Velodrome:
Thursday 5 th March, Thursday 19 th March, Thursday 2 nd April,
Thursday 16 th April, Thursday 30 th April, Thursday 14 th May,
and Thursday 28th May 2015. All sessions start at 5:00 pm
These 1 hour at the National Cycling Centre on Manchester Velodrome are with expert coaching.
Session includes bike or tandem and helmet hire. Riders, 9 years or older with a disability should register on line on the NCC website via: http://www.nationalcyclingcentre.com/register/ and then phone reception to change the generic membership for a disability membership, on 0161 223 2244 (option 3). This will then give you access to the Disability sessions listed above.
These sessions are open to any Bike or Tandem rider with a Disability. Novice riders get the opportunity to be introduced to the track by a Velodrome Coach whilst those who have been before can ( subject to numbers and the needs of others) conduct specific exercises to enhance their track skills, speed and fitness levels.
Hire bikes can be booked on reserving a place on the session. It is worth noting however that NCC protocols dictate that the only alterations allowed to these bikes is the saddle height.
