Oswestry! SDN brings its next meeting to you!

We are really pleased to be bringing our quarterly meeting to Oswestry on Wednesday 12th June 2013.

Oswestry Cricket Club at Morda Road, Shropshire SY11 2AY is the venue. Refreshments will be available at 10.30 am in order to start the meeting at 11 am. The meeting will end by 1 pm.

We have two great speakers and we look forward to welcoming them-

Colin Smith MBE who is Partner Support Manager with The Department of Work and Pensions will be giving us the latest updates on changes from Disability Living Allowance to Personal Independence Payments. We are really pleased to be welcoming Colin to our meeting. Some of you will have attended the Welfare Reform Debate that was held in January this year hosted by the VCSA, Shropshire Clasp, The Pan Disability Forum & ourselves, giving opportunity to organisations to find out about Welfare Reforms. At the end of the event Colin told us he would like to talk to our members so please grasp this opportunity now.

Now it is all arranged so you have your opportunity to get the latest information.

Ann Johnston Support Service Manager based at Oswestry and works at Shropshire Housing Alliance. Ann will speak about issues around changes to Housing Benefits, including the impact on benefits if you take in a lodger due to you have a spare bedroom and are in receipt of Housing Benefit.

We will also bring you news of what we have been up to since our last meeting in March this year.

Sponsorship: There will a sponsorship form available giving you the opportunity to sponsor Vic Davies SDN Member who has offered to run the Shrewsbury Marathon for us on Sunday 23rd June 2013.
