Event description: Qube’s project ‘MADE’ offers hands-on, innovative training with professional artists for those working with older people in and around Oswestry.
You don’t need to be an artist – these skills workshops are designed to be easily accessible to everyone.
Using paper-cut and paper-fold techniques inspired by traditional hand crafts, you’ll learn how to turn simple, everyday materials into something exciting and extraordinary.
Artist Yoshiko Shuff will teach you to make origami shapes and figures, giving you fresh ideas to engage older people in ways that will help improve memory, concentration, self-esteem and social interaction.
Book now for a series of 5 workshops, taking place on Thursdays throughout the Spring, beginning on 26th April. Afternoon and evening sessions are available.
