Event title: Notes on Blindness
Venue: Ludlow Assembly Rooms, 1 Mill St, Ludlow SY8 1AZ
Name: Ludlow Assembly Rooms
Telephone: 01584 878141
Event description: This 90 minute film is a thought-provoking documentary, it explores how it feels to go blind, via the personal story of theologian and writer John Hull.
As Hull began losing his sight (shortly after the birth of his first son) he made a series of audio recordings of his experience; an intimate, discerning and evocative account described by the late neurologist Oliver Sacks as ‘a masterpiece – the most precise, deep and beautiful account of blindness I have ever read ’. Boldly addressing the dearth of films on blindness and disability.
There is a second opportunity to see this on Wednesday 17th August also at 7.30 pm
