Emma Chaplin, Eye Clinic Liaison Office for the Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital is now back at the Eye Clinic on Mondays and Thursdays but still working from home on the other days for now.
She says “The clinic is still quiet by usual standards – social distancing rules mean that we cannot have the same number of people in the waiting rooms. All staff and patients are required to wear surgical masks and a 1 metre+ distance is maintained wherever possible.
Urgent Eye Clinic and AMD injection clinics have been operating throughout the Covid19 pandemic, and other specialties are beginning to open up with a mixture of face-to-face and telephone consultations.
