The National Safeguarding Adults Network are launching the first National Safeguarding Adults Week. It takes place from Monday 19th November to Sunday 25th November 2018.
The Network includes members from Sense, Choice Support, Dimensions, Voiceability, United Response, Brandon Trust, MacIntyre, Advance, CVT and the Ann Craft Trust. The National Safeguarding Adults Network recognised that organisations around the UK have been creating their own safeguarding weeks throughout the year and want to create a time where we can all focus on safeguarding adults. So we can be better, together.
Each day is dedicated to a particular subject, they include:
- Disability Hate Crime,
- Forced Marriage, the Prevent Agenda and Domestic Abuse,
- Financial Abuse
- Online Safety and Cyber Bullying
- Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity
