We have been asked to inform our members of a planned march on Sunday 23rd April. There is a real threat that we could loose services in Shropshire.
The threat to our hospital services remains, with the Trust running Princess Royal and Royal Shrewsbury Hospitals most recently announcing that they are considering an overnight closure of Telford’s A&E due to a shortage of staff.
Nearly 30,000 people have signed up to support our #PRH4Me campaign to keep vital hospital services at Princess Royal Hospital, and so we are hoping for a really good turnout for the March. More information about the campaign here www.prh4me.co.uk.
The planned route is:
- Meet at Walker Street, Wellington Town Centre (by TSB Bank) for 2 pm.
- March through town centre to Princess Royal Hospital and then to Charlton School for rally finale.
Please use car parks at Leisure Centre, Tan Bank and Wrekin Rd.
Those unable to walk the whole distance, assemble at Charlton School and join campaigners for the last leg and finale. Parking also available here.
