This exciting and informative three-day course will deliver what you need to know about working within the care sector.
Information Session on Monday 22nd October at 9.30 am to 11.30 pm
Course Dates are on: Monday 5th, 12th & 19th November 2018 at 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
Course content will includes:
- An introduction to the care sector.
- The duties and roles in residential and domiciliary care
- The role of Personal Assistants
- Skills and qualities needed
- Benefits and rewards of this career
- What next – further training and next steps.
It is a course intended to prepare people to apply for jobs in residential, domiciliary care or as a Personal Assistant.
The course is intended to raise awareness of the career opportunities available, diversity and flexibility afforded by the roles and sources of support available to employees. It includes training on how to produce a CV and personal statement, using the Find a PA website to identify job opportunities and to register a profile. Learners will be introduced to the services available to service users through POhWER.
