Heritage Open Days 2019 Dame Agnes Hunt founded Derwen College in 1927, at the age of 61. The college was a place where physically disabled young people could learn a trade suitable to their disability and become partially or wholly self-supporting. Agnes’ visionary work before and during her time at Derwen College inspired a legacy that lives on to this day.
