The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of blind and partially sighted people never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empowers visually impaired people to do that and relies totally on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service. We breed and train guide dogs which provide life changing mobility and there are currently 4,500 working guide dog partnerships in the UK. The full lifetime cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is £48,500.

Guide Dogs Shrewsbury specialises in providing mobility and independence to blind and partially sighted people across Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Black Country.

Guide Dogs Shrewsbury supports visually impaired people in Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Black Country to have the same freedom of movement as everyone else. Providing independence and mobility to thousands of people every day. Guide Dogs relies entirely on donations for the Guide Dog service.
