A free workshop on the work of the UK Parliament and how you can engage with it.

It will explain the work of Parliament and how you can get involved.

The session will involve activities, quizzes and opportunities to ask questions

The workshop will cover:

  • The role of Parliament
  • Legislation
  • Questions and debates
  • How to contact an MP

*NOTE: This workshop has been organised to coincide with Health Information Week. It will focus on how the White paper (Equity and Excellence) became the Health Bill – and will follow its passage through the Houses of Parliament to show how it became the Health and Social Care Act 2012.  

David Wright MP has kindly agreed to join the workshop to answer any questions about the role of members of parliament  and to discuss how ordinary citizens can influence the way laws are made in the UK.
