First Superfast Communities Announced

Shropshrie Disability network is following the development of broadband services in Shropshire with a keen eye to the impact on our members.

Connecting Shropshire, the Council vehicle for project managing the roll out of BT’s 24 Mbs fibre to the curb broadband offering, has announced the names of the first communities to receive the service early in 2015. Shropshire Council has contracted with BT to provide the service and has attracted funding from BDUK towards the £24.6 million project. The first communities are:

  • Montford Bridge,
  • Montford,
  • Bicton,
  • Ford,
  • Shrawardine,
  • Pontesbury and
  • Minsterley.
