Event description: Fairness, Respect, Equality Shropshire (FRESh) is a new organisation set up to work for equality for everyone in Shropshire.
Entry is FREE and EVERYONE is WELCOME to join us for this event which is being opened by the Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Jon Tandy, who will be cutting the ribbon to unveil the FRESh logo.

FRESh has been set up to expand & develop the work of the earlier Shropshire Council funded Equalities Forum. FRESh’s new Equality Forum meetings are open to all who wish to share best practice, and explore equality and diversity work.

At this launch, there will be two keynote speakers, looking at the impact of austerity on equality and the importance of equality work in Shropshire.

We look forward to welcoming our keynote speakers John Low (Policy and Research Manager, Joseph Rowntree Foundation) and Jackie Jeffrey (Chief Executive, Citizens Advice Shropshire)
John will address how austerity is affecting equality in communities while Jackie will address why equality matters in Shropshire.

There will be several organisations who will have stands at this event including Shropshire Disability Network. A great opportunity for voluntary organisations to network.
