End of Life Specialist Nurse helping Young People cope with Bereavement

Miriam Gilbert,End of Life Specialist Nurse at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) has come up with a beneficial way to help young people cope with Bereavement.

Her idea of handmade bereavement bags filled with a hand knitted teddy bear, colouring pens and paper – alongside information on dealing with bereavement is something really special at the darkest moments in a young persons life. In each bag there there is a coloured memory stone inside for the child as a keepsake.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) have issued this Media Release about Miriam’s idea and how you or someone you know can help.
