Event description: Six sessions covering two different jewellery making techniques
Enamelling. Kiln fuse powdered glass onto copper to produce colourful decorative enamel finishes to make into jewellery, tiles, pictures and hangings. Learn how to use transparent and opaque powders. Sieving, stencilling, graffito and decorative inlays. Looking at techniques of multiple firings to build layers and effects. Embedding wire and metal. Inlaying beads, glass chips for more texture. Pewter casting. Design and carve your own plaster and cuttlefish moulds, melt lead free pewter ingots, pour into the moulds to cast your own designs!
This course is an opportunity for carers and gives you opportunity for some “me time”
The dates for this course are:
Monday 18th and 25th September and Monday 2nd, 9th and 16th October.
Free to carers. There may be a small cost for materials on some courses.
