Event title: Disabled Access Day across the UK-What is happening in the county of Shropshire!
Venue: Many places throughout the UK
Name: Disabled Access Day
Event description: Disabled Access Day-Saturday 17th January 2015. So what’s it all about? All of us whether we have a disability, are a carer, organisation, an individual or a business can take part. People are being asked that on Disabled Access Day to visit a venue that they’ve never been to before – whether a cinema, coffee shop, sports centre or anywhere else… Disabled Access Day is a brand new campaign that asks us to visit places to find out about their disabled access. You could invite venues to take part by welcoming disabled visitors on the day.
This has never been done before but may become an Annual event throughout the UK. Often before we can visit somewhere, we need transport, so this is an opportunity for providers to come forward and show off their accessible transport solutions! To find out more about what/who is getting involved please visit www.disabledaccessday.com we will bring you news on our website, our newsletter “Your Voice” & Social Media. The focus of the Disabled Access Day is highlighting places that have great disability access and to encourage disabled people to try new places. The day could provide a great opportunity to discover not only where in Shropshire including Telford & Wrekin places are disabled friendly but also to encourage others to look at how they may become disabled friendly. We would like you to let us know your good & not so good experiences & you can do that by leaving a comment in the “comments” box below or if you want to remain anonymous email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will upload your comment. Thank you.
