Event description: At Wem Town Hall we have linked with The Dukes in Lancaster & we are one of their partner venues, running the A Life More Ordinary projects in our first pilot year. We are pleased to bring you the Wizard of Oz.
Dementia Friendly Screenings are open to all but will be more relaxed, with lights on and sound level low with specially trained ushers on hand to assist. Screenings will have an interval and ticket price includes a tea or coffee.
Be swept away down the yellow brick road with beloved classic The wizard of Oz. When Dorothy is whisked from her mundane home to Oz, a colourful world of pure imagination, she must journey to the wizard in the hopes he will help her return to Kansas – after all, there’s really no place like home! Dorothy’s adventure will take her through emerald forests and creepy castles, all with the help of indelible melodies that have delighted audiences for over seventy years.
Tickets are only £4 per head and include a tea or coffee during the interval. Carers are free. We kindly remind customers that pastoral care is not provided at these screenings. If you would like to book
