Event description: The Shropshire Alzheimers Society and partners invite you to this Dementia Awareness Day.
Dementia Awareness Day is a FREE event open to all who wish to attend. At this event we will be bringing together many local and national dementia service providers under one roof so that members of the public, dementia patients, families, professionals, and anyone who is interested in the condition can come and speak to a variety of people about the condition and any ask questions they may have. Some of the organisations who will be at the event include the Alzheimer’s society, Shropshire Council, Health Services, Care Home providers plus many more.
So come along and find out what services and support are on offer in Shropshire for those living with dementia, and their carers. Everyone’s welcome!
This FREE event that you can come along to gives you an opportunity to speak to a range of organisations who provide services and support to people living with dementia – and their families – in Shropshire.
In addition, the following taster sessions will be taking place on the day:
- Cognitive Stimulation
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives
- Singing for the Brain
- Dementia Friends information sessions
There is no need to book a place at the event if you would just like to come along and speak to service providers.
