Event description: As Zoom is becoming more and more popular, the Forum committee have decided to hold our June Forum on Zoom on the originally arranged date of 9th June.
Jenny will send out the link nearer the time, (SDN will update this post once we have received the link) but please let Jenny Heath know if you wish to join the Forum at this email heathknollcrest@gmail.com.
- First guest speaker – Mrs Balwinder Kaur Head of Equality and Inclusion of the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust will give a talk on the Council’s involvement with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Second guest speaker – PC Ross Cookson of the West Mercia Police will speak on the Interaction between the Police and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Should you have any particular aspects you wish him to cover, please let Jenny know.
If you require an interpreter or require the services of a lip-speaker, please let me know as soon as possible so I can arrange – although our lip-speaker, Mrs. Dilys Palin, has kindly offered to be present. Sub-titles will also be available.
Date of October meeting:
- Wednesday 27th October at Wellington Methodist Centre.
A Sign Language Interpreter will be present and a loop system provided.
Hearing dogs are most welcome.
