Coronavirus rules from Monday 17 May 2021

Changes came into place on Monday 17th May 2021 regarding Covid19 as the UK attempts to come out of lockdown on the road to the “new normal”.

Here’s what you need to know: 

  • People can meet outdoors in groups of up to 30 
  • 2 households or 6 individuals can meet indoors 
  • People can choose if they want to socially distance with close family and friends  
  • Pubs, restaurants and bars can open indoors 
  • Holiday accommodation will reopen 
  • Indoor entertainment can open, including cinemas, museums, and children’s play areas 
  • Indoor entertainment venues, such as sports stadiums, can reopen, but with limited capacity 
  • Organised sport and exercise classes can resume 
  • Up to 30 people can attend weddings and receptions 
  • The cap on the number of funeral attendees will be lifted 
  • Secondary school pupils and college students no longer have to wear facemasks 
  • Care home residents can have up to 5 named visitors 
  • Some international travelled allowed under the traffic light system.  

If you need proof that you have received the Covid19 jab, download the NHS app onto your mobile phone https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-app/ If you have no mobile phone call 119 and ask for a letter of proof you have had two Covid19 jabs. By having this app, you can order repeat prescriptions, check any GP appointments you may have and keep up to date with information on Covid19
