Climbing Out seeks Young People with a disability for an Exciting Opportunity in 2017!

Kelda Wood, SDN regular blogger who runs the Charity Climbing Out has asked us to promote an exciting opportunity, giving young people a chance to take part in their programme in the Lake District which runs from Monday 29th May 2017 to Friday 2nd June 2017.

Participants will need to meet the following criteria to take part.

  • To be aged between 16 and 30 years of age.
  • To have an acquired disability through injury or illness, not something they have had since birth.
  • Individuals need to be independently mobile, self medicating and self reliant.

SDN says: If you fall into the above criteria, contact them now, with 8 places available, don’t delay, book today!

The programme is fully funded by Climbing Out, although a £25 is requested & refundable. This is returned after the programme.  A bursary can be applied for if anyone is struggling to fund the deposit.

Participants do have to get themselves to the Lake District, but can be picked up from the local train station if travelling by train.

There are 8 places available on the programme. A medical consent form will need to be completed as well as an application form together with £25 deposit is needed to confirm your place.

Anyone interested can contact Kelda Wood at keldawood@climbingout.org.uk and can see more about Climbing Out at www.climbingout.org.uk
