The Friendly Transport Service (aka The Friendly Bus) is a charitable company which has been operating since 2002, providing transport for a rural community in and around the neighbouring towns of Broseley and Much Wenlock in Shropshire. Our management team are Marie (Project Manager), Julie (Co-ordinator) and Kath (Assistant Co-ordinator) who look after the day to day operation from our office in Broseley.  The service is provided by a team of local volunteers, some of whom use their own cars to take people to appointments, etc. Our management committee consists of both volunteers and users of the service.

In an area where other transport services are limited and not everyone has access to a car, we provide transport by car or minibus.  We offer a door to door service which is friendly, comfortable and reliable for people who don’t have alternative means of transport or who have other difficulties in getting out.

We provide transport for local clubs, schools and other non profit-making groups, to meetings and events or out on day trips.

We aim to make getting out and about whether it be to the doctor’s, the shops or social activities possible for everyone.
