The British Polio Fellowship is committed to supporting our members via the Central Office team and via a comprehensive regional Branch and Group network located throughout the UK. Together, we provide members with a source of local and national contact and support.
Members of The British Polio Fellowship are a diverse group from all walks of life, united by Polio and Post Polio Syndrome (PPS) having touched their lives.
Members can be involved with the charity as much or as little as they wish. Some members contact Central Office for advice and support on living with PPS or for benefits advice, while our extensive Branch and Regional network is a way to get involved, meet friends and share advice and experiences on living with PPS.
Post Polio Syndrome (PPS) is a neurological condition that can occur in people who have had Polio. After a long time without any significant change in their condition, people may develop new symptoms of increasing weakness, stamina problems, fatigue and pain.
