The BDA promotes early identification and support in schools to ensure opportunity to learn for dyslexic learners. They represent the needs of dyslexic people on leaving school, in higher education and in work. Information and Activities are given for teachers and schools, those within the further or higher education sectors, adults and those in employment and parents and families.

Local Dyslexic Associations can be found at this link: http://www.bdadyslexia.org.uk/membership/local-dyslexia-associations/lda-directory

Local Dyslexia Associations (LDAs) are independently registered charities. They have helplines, befrienders and computer co-ordinators. They hold meetings with speakers and workshops, run courses, and have literature for sale and for borrowing. LDAs know of local facilities for assessment and tuition.
