The Big Shrewsbury Curry-to support Local Soldiers.

Shrewsbury is hosting a curry cook off to tickle the taste buds
of shoppers and raise money for The Soldiers Charity. Organised by Nick Chevasse
Managing Director of NRG Direct Mail Ltd and a former Major in the British Army-sponsors
include Heart of England Fine Foods and Shropshire Council.
The day will be a cook-off between Army chefs from 143 (West Midlands) Brigade and
HEFF’s Taste kitchen chef Ed Warren based at Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre at
Battlefield Enterprise Park.
Both chefs will serve curry in The Square and a £5 donation to the charity will get a
portion of each curry with rice for shoppers to vote for their favourite.
All monies raised will do directly to helping soldiers and their families in the region
so it is hoped that many people will visit The Square on 23rd July as recent years
show an increase by 30% in applications for support from soldiers, former
soldiers and their families.
