To enable Shropshire Disability Network to operate we have a Management Committee. Meetings take place each month, except for the quarter months when there is a Members’ Meeting, ie March, June, September & December.

These meetings are vital in order to bring you this website, our newsletter, our quarterly meetings, signposting and all the work we do for people with all types of disabilities as well as carers. It is also important that we carry out the wishes of our Members. We are a very active committee of “doers” and need people who will be “team players” to join us and help with various tasks.

Any SDN Member who feels they have something new that they can bring to the Management Board can make an application to join the board. In the first instance you should email secretary@shropshire-disability.net or call/text 07780 852 229. Annual General Meetings are held every September when board members are elected & honorary posts ratified but between AGMs we can co-opt up to 4 members.

For an informal chat please call/text 07780 852 229.

We have items made by our members on sale at very reasonable prices. We always have a stock of second hand books.

All monies raised will be used to progress our work across the county of Shropshire to help people with a disability access the information they need, provide a website, newsletter and more. Much of our work goes unseen as signposting is often confidential. We are a small charity run by volunteers and doing a huge amount of work.

Maybe you are a member of SDN but have never been to a meeting, or would like to join but you are not sure as you don’t know other members. If so, why not come to PRH to talk to us or volunteer for an hour or so, get to know one or two of us and we can tell you more about our meetings.

If you would like to volunteer, even just for 1 hour, please contact us as it helps all of us. You can call/text 07780 852 229 or secretary@shropshire-disability.net .
