There will be music and dance, creative arts all providing the chance for people of all ages to experience a wide range of leisure time activities.

Event description: We will be welcoming two speakers to this meeting, which we hope will inspire and enthuse. Margaret Williams will do a talk about Limb India and the work of this charity. Our second speaker will be Ann Shaw of West Mercia Police, who will give a presentation on Disability Hate Crime. As well as our speakers, we will also tell you about our work including volunteering opportunities. As usual we will have a raffle (prizes always welcome) this helps to fund our meetings, both membership and management. It also helps towards other ongoing costs.

Event description: This is our Annual General Meeting when you will be able to hear about our work during the last 12 months. As well as this important business that we have to undertake, we have two speakers which we hope will be of interest to you. Rachel Woods will do a presentation on “Cooking for those with a Disability”. Our second speaker is Rob Price from the Benefits Option Team at Shropshire Council who will inform us about the “Implementation of Pip’s”-the replacement to Disability Living Allowance. The assessments for this will start in 2013, so this is an ideal opportunity to find out more about changes that are going to affect many of you. Raffle-to bring in a little funding we shall continue with having a raffle at our meetings. One prize already offered is a very useful “handy reacher”. More raffle prizes would be appreciated.
