Healthy Friendships is a registered mental health charity which supports predominantly older adults who endure emotional distress live happier, healthier more fulfilled lives. During 2012 we successfully secured funding from Big Lottery England to provide one to one befriending, group work, social events and educational outings throughout rural areas of South Shropshire.
We are delighted to announce that we have recently opened a new charity shop called ‘Whatever Next’ at 8 Church Street, Cleobury Mortimer DY14 8BS to raise funds for our members. We are selling donated items such as women’s, men’s and children’s clothes, shoes, bric a brac, dvd’s, books etc. All money raised in this shop is spent on improving the lives of isolated members residing in rural South Shropshire.
Volunteers
We currently require volunteers to work in the shop serving customers, pricing items, collecting donated stock etc. Full training shall be given. If you have any time to give and would like to contribute to a worthwhile charity who assist older adults with emotional distress please contact either Barbara on 01686 626221 or Becky on 07549 349534.
Donations needed!
Any goods which are no longer needed would be greatly received at our new shop!! If you have any donations including clothes, shoes, bric a brac, children’s toys etc please contact Becky on the above number or call into the shop!
Executive/ Board Members
Healthy Friendships are currently seeking Executive/Board members from the South Shropshire area to participate in the governance of the organisation on a voluntary basis. We need people who can help direct Healthy Friendships towards achieving its mission and ensure the organisation is effectively managed.
